How it works
- Open the ride folder.Subfolders are scanned too. RideCut keeps its own work in a .ridecut folder inside it and never touches your footage.
- Analyze. Each file is read for motion, GPS and the GoPro's sensors to find the moments worth a look. That scoring is free and works offline. With Pro, Claude also looks at each moment and rates it, after telling you how many it will send.
- Review and render.Set a target length, swap or trim clips, then render one movie in landscape or portrait, with speed, altitude and a mini-map drawn on if you want them.
What it needs
Windows 10 or 11, or a Mac running macOS 12 or later. Everything it needs to read and encode video is included.
Footage from any mix of GoPro, phone, camera and drone. A GPX track from a phone or watch is optional and gives speed, altitude and a map to clips from every camera.
Free and Pro
The download is free and needs no account. Opening a folder, analyzing, reviewing the cut, the overlays and rendering up to 4K all run on your computer and stay there.
RideCut Pro is $8 a month and adds one thing: Claude rates each moment, through your RideCut sign-in, with no API key to manage. A ride's worth of moments is a small part of the monthly allowance, and repeats are cached. If you already have an Anthropic key, you can use that instead on the free plan. Pricing in full.
